Description:	The Transportation Infrastructure pattern defines the concepts that are relevant in describing the physical transportation infrastructure and their characteristics. This includes the concepts of a Road, ISO5087-2:Bridge, and Tunnel. The Infrastructure Pattern is reused here, as these transportation structures are all defined as types of (subclasses) Infrastructure Elements.
Key Concepts and Classes:	A Road is a type of Infrastructure Element. It describes a part of the physical transportation infrastructure that has been improved in order to allow travel by motor vehicles, persons, bicycles and similar methods of conveyance. Road is identified as such by some governing body. It has some location and name. It may be decomposed into parts as Road Segments. A Road Segment is another type of Infrastructure Element, it is part of a Road and has some location. A Rail Line is a type of Infrastructure Element. It describes a part of the physical transportation infrastructure that has been fitted with tracks in order to allow travel by trains and other sorts of rail vehicles. No distinction is made between types of rail at this level. A Rail Line is identified as such by some governing body. It has some location and name. It may be decomposed into parts as Rail Line Segments. A Rail Line Segment is another type of Infrastructure Element, it is part of a Road and has some location. A ISO5087-2:Bridge is a type of Infrastructure Element. It describes a part of the physical transportation infrastructure that enables travel over some area. It has some location and name, and may contain some Road or Rail Line Segments. It may be decomposed into parts as ISO5087-2:Bridge Segments. A ISO5087-2:Bridge Segment is another type of Infrastructure Element, it is part of a Road and has some location. A Tunnel is a type of Infrastructure Element. It describes a part of the physical transportation infrastructure that enables travel underneath some area. It has some location and name, and may contain some Road or Rail Line segments. It may be decomposed into parts as Tunnel Segments. A Tunnel Segment is another type of Infrastructure Element, it is part of a Road and has some location.
